Residue / Analytical |
The residue analytical lab at the RRC, supporting toxicology work, is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instruments like GLC, HPLC, GC/MS, NMR, IR, AAS and V-visible spectrophotometer.
In addition to supporting toxicological studies, the analytical services include : Physical and Chemical properties and Five batch analysis as per USEPA (OPPTS) / OECD / SETAC Guidelines and EEC / CIPAC methods.
Studies on persistence, residue and environmental fate of pesticides are carried out for evaluation of their consumer and environmental safety in compliance with Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Pesticide residues and their metabolites are analysed in diverse substrates, viz., soil, water, air, plants, animal feeds and tissues.
